At March 1st 2009 a new company will open it's doors in Zrich, Switzerland: 1stQuad Solutions, a team of expert solution architects and engineers, specialized and focussing on conception, design and implementation of solutions based on the Microsoft Office SharePoint products (MOSS) and technologies (WSS). But besides "classical" project work, we are also keeping on publishing professional books and articles around SharePoint as well as being speakers at local and international events. And – of course - I will keep on blogging to the community, probably much more than I did it during my Microsoft days.
It took me a long time to decide against keeping on working at Microsoft Switzerland as a Senior Consultant for IW & Application Development… Microsoft is a great company – in many ways - but the possibility to be once in my life co-founder of a new company that wants to specialize exactly on what I'm loving to do has been too tempting. Who cares about the financial crisis – I believe in the future of SharePoint and as well in the concept and talents of our new company!
And some FAQ on our name 1stQuad: Every solution, vendor, product or software is evaluted and judged in at least 2 dimensions (just think about the "Gartner Magic Quadrants"). The place where you would like to end up is in the 1st Quad – which is defined mathematically where X- and Y-Axis are positive. Our aim and promise towards our customers is to be always in the 1st quad with our solutions. So: 1stQuad Solutions
