We've decided to use SharePoint for certain intranet applications for its workflow capabilies. Currently we have a Dreamweaver/Coldfusion intranet site. I haven't been able to find any advice online as to how one should add SharePoint to an existing site. I would prefer not to covert everything to SharePoint. Can I just set up SharePoint as a subsite ?

Hi,

I read your post while searching for more information about when using SCs. I have the following scenario, a docLib with over 50Gb of docs. do you think that spawning this doclib through several similiar doc libs in diferent Site Collections would be a good scenario? this would allow putting each SCs in a diferent content DB, put conceptually it seems a bit odd..

do you think SCs apply to this scenario?
best regards

Gday Mate - the image from this post is missing? I remember sending this link to colleagues to help them understand SP logical architecture:

http://vspug.com/llowevad/2007/06/25/site-collection-logical-architecture/

Could you possibly find that picture and get it back??

Thanks,
