Cómo evitar el uso de FrontPage en nuestros sites

Muy buenas, supongo que en todas las empresas hay zagales que se dedican a personalizar nuestros sitios de SharePoint de una manera sencilla con el temido FrontPage 2003, el cual es bastante result¢n, pero pagaremos el precio de desfantasmear las p ginas que toquemos… esto es una pu¤eta pues estas p ginas quedar n desconectadas de las site definitions y no ser n afectadas por los posibles cambios que hagamos. Bueno pues para evitar que nos la l¡en hay una soluci¢n bastante sencilla que consiste en agregar el siguiente c¢digo en el ONET.xml de las site definitions de nuestros sites:<project title="[Titulo del sitio]" xmlns:ows="Microsoft SharePoint" listdir="Lists" disablewebdesignfeatures="wdfopensite"></project>

 Las site definitions se encuentran en la carpeta "C:Archivos de programaArchivos comunesMicrosoft Sharedweb server extensions60TEMPLATE1033" (el 1033 var¡a seg£n el lenguaje que utilizemos) y el onet.xml se encuentra dentro de la carpeta XML de cada site defnition.

Cómo aplicar un theme automáticamente cuando se crea un site

Navegando he encontrado esta soluci¢n realmente buena que nos da Kalmberg. B sicamente son dos pasos a seguir:1. Crear una p gina aspx que se encargar  de realizar en cambio de theme. Poned esta p gina en el directorio de layouts (C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft Sharedweb server extensions60TEMPLATELAYOUTS1033),esto es solo un ejemplo, pod‚is ponerla donde quer is. Incluid el siguiente c¢digo que utiliza el modelo de objetos de SharePoint para aplicar el tema:

2. Modificar el archivo ONET.XML de nuestra definici¢n de site para que abra la p gina que hemos creado pas ndole como par metro el theme que queremos aplicar. A¤adiremos estas l¡neas dentro del tag "configurations" (la URL tendr‚is que ponerla seg£n donde cre steis la p gina anterior):

Cómo configurar la indexación de MOSS

Una mejora bastantemente notable en MOSS es el sistema de b£squedas. Para empezar a configurar el sistema de indexaci¢n es necesario que hayamos implementado al menos un proveedor de servicios compartidos (SSP).
Para configurar un crawling sencillo sobre el contenido local sigue los siguientes pasos:
 1. Desde Central Administration ve a tu proveedor de servicios compartidos (SSP), si dejaste el nombre por defecto ser  'SharedServices1', lo puedes encontrar en el marco de la izquierda.
 2. Ve a 'Search Settings' (en la secci¢n de Search).
 3. En la parte de 'Configure Search Settings' pulsa 'Content Sources and Crawl Schedules'
 4. Edita el content source 'Local Office SharePoint Server Sites'.
 5. Programa un full crawl para que se ejecute una vez al d¡a (este par metro depende de las necesidades de cada uno…)
 6. Programa un incremental crawl para que se ejecute cada 10~15 minutos (por supuesto este par metro tambi‚n depende de las necesidades que tengamos…)
 7. Checkeamos 'Start Full crawl of this content source' para que ejecute el primer full crawl.
 8. Pulsamos en OK
 
 (opcional)
 9. Nos bajamos a la calle y nos echamos un cigarrito

Convivencia de MOSS 2007 y SPS 2003 en la misma máquina

Existe una forma de que MOSS 2007 y SPS 2003 convivan en un mismo FrontEnd, a la hora de instalar MOSS 2007 debes de elegir un Gradual Update, de esta forma ambos entornos y sus respectivos Central Administration sites estar n operativos y conviviendo en la misma m quina. Este m‚todo est  dise¤ado para realizar la migrac¢n, pero por supuesto, no tiene por qu‚ migrarse… Esta opci¢n es ideal para migraciones que puedan llevar mucho tiempo y tambi‚n para entornos en los que solo se disponga de una m quina. Como ya sabr‚is (y si no lo sab¡ais lo vais a saber en breve) el modo de desarrollar webparts en SharePoint 2007 ha cambiado un poco, ya que las clases para los webparts ya no heredan de la API antigua Microsoft.SharePoint.WebPartPages.WebPart, sino que ahora heredan de System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts y est  totalmente inclu¡do en el .NET Framework 2 (se acabaron los intentos frustrados de instanciar Microsoft.SharePoint.dll en remoto!!!). De esta forma el c¢digo queda bastante reducidito, los pasos a seguir ser¡an los siguientes:

  1. Abrir Visual Studio 2005 y crear un proyecto de tipo Class Library (en el ejemplo voy a utilizar VB.NET).
  2. A¤adiremos la referencia System.Web.
  3. En las propiedades del proyecto os v is a la pesta¤a signing y firm is el proyecto con un snk que cre is.

  1. Ahora hay que hacer Buid, copiar la dll en la GAC y en las popiedades del assembly copiar el PublicKeyToken para insertar la siguiente l¡nea en el web.config:

  1. Hacemos IISReset y ale, a fumarse un puro
  2. Puede que no aparezca como registrada en la Galer¡a de WebParts, si es as¡, abre la galer¡a de Webparts (Site Settings -> Galleries -> WebParts) y a¤ dela manualmente.
