Iranian Microsoft MVPs et Tehran's SharePoint User Group

We had a great SharePoint User Group meeting, 7th of February at Tehran.

I know two Iranian Microsoft SharePoint MVPs (if you are third, I'll be more than happy to hear from you); first one is Mr. Reza Alirezaie, a really nice guy who is pretty mature at SharePoint development and architecture. Second one is me who invited Reza and some other Iranian SharePoint Bloggers to attend and have a free and friendly talk.

At the beginning Reza talked about infrastructure and server farm environments they are using at their projects at Canada, which are usually large farms.

Other attendees got excited about the big investment and hardware requirements we need for an enterprise, stable and high performance deployment.

Then we discussed about possibility of Virtualization and Hyper-V technology as an alternative solution to reduce required budget especially on this economic uncertainty.

At the end, reza promised us to come back again and hopefully more time to teach a SharePoint Development Course.

Thanks everyone for attending, hope to see you at the next meeting.
