SharePoint Farsi – Free Download

July 14th, 2009 by farvashan

I finally released my Persian Language Pack for WSS 3.0 Service Pack 2, as a free download for public.

You can freely download it here:

Persian Language Pack for WSS 3.0 SP2 – Free Download

Persian Language Pack for this technology is not supported by Microsoft yet, probably because of US embargo against Iran, but I’m releasing this because I have some requests from outside of Iran, some Microsoft partners at UK, US and CA asking for this release. Persian Language, also known as Farsi, is primary language of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Also some peoples at Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Pakistan, Southern Russia, Indian subcontinent and lots of Iranian talented peoples at United State are speaking Persian.
Microsoft supported Persian Language for Office 2003, Office 2007 and Exchange Server 2007, probably for Office 14, and hopefully for SharePoint 2010.
Special thanks to
SharePoint Solutions for supporting me for this, and SharePoint Solutions Persia Community for their contributions.

Iranian Microsoft MVPs et Tehran's SharePoint User Group

February 23rd, 2009 by farvashan

We had a great SharePoint User Group meeting, 7th of February at Tehran.

I know two Iranian Microsoft SharePoint MVPs (if you are third, I'll be more than happy to hear from you); first one is Mr. Reza Alirezaie, a really nice guy who is pretty mature at SharePoint development and architecture. Second one is me who invited Reza and some other Iranian SharePoint Bloggers to attend and have a free and friendly talk.

At the beginning Reza talked about infrastructure and server farm environments they are using at their projects at Canada, which are usually large farms.

Other attendees got excited about the big investment and hardware requirements we need for an enterprise, stable and high performance deployment.

Then we discussed about possibility of Virtualization and Hyper-V technology as an alternative solution to reduce required budget especially on this economic uncertainty.

At the end, reza promised us to come back again and hopefully more time to teach a SharePoint Development Course.

Thanks everyone for attending, hope to see you at the next meeting.

SharePoint 14 is comming !

February 3rd, 2009 by farvashan

SharePoint 14 will be present at SharePoint Conference 2009, at Los Vegas, NV 19-22 October 2009.

This promise to be the biggest and the best SharePoint Conference yet. register here and get 300$ discount.

I couldn't join for SharePoint Conference 2008, because of those Visa things, nor at 2009 Microsoft MVP Global Summit, even when I have an official invitation and supporting letter from an attorney at Microsoft, Redmond !!! so I'll not trying anymore for this really amazing event.

I wish I could change place of my birth. some peoples are saying that we are able to choose anything in our future life, included exact place and time of birth, I'll choose Manhattan next time.

Have a great time at MVP Global Summit and SharePoint Conference 2009
